Workers' Advocate Law Group PC in New York City seeks an Employee Rights Litigation Paralegal to join our ranks in the fight for workplace justice. As a paralegal on our team, you'll be entrusted with supporting attorneys in critical case preparation, meticulous research, and compassionate client advocacy. Your work will be the backbone of our efforts to challenge powerful employers and secure justice for hardworking individuals. We need someone who understands that attention to detail can make the difference between a family's financial security and ruin. Someone who recognizes that every document filed, every fact uncovered, every follow-up call made, a human being's dignity is being honored. That just around the corner from your efforts is a jury convened to render justice to someone who, without you, might never have had closure, let alone compensation. Responsibilities: • Research and analyze legal issues related to employee rights cases. • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs. • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, and trials. • Maintain case files and ensure all documents are organized and up to date. • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel as necessary. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree, preferably in legal studies, political science, English, or a related field • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in employment law • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, particularly in California, New York, and Washington D.C. (any one is sufficient). • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; e-mail, text with clients • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with willingness to work in-office at Hudson Yards, NYC location 2 days per week as needed • Fluency in Arabic, Spanish, and French welcome. Compensation: $35 - $55 hourly
