We are a well-established, mission-driven law firm committed to advocating for injured workers across New York. Our New Windsor office is expanding, and we’re looking for a dedicated Workers’ Compensation Attorney to join our legal team full-time. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney who is passionate about client advocacy and skilled in managing a high-volume caseload from start to finish.
We’re seeking a proactive and organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable handling virtual hearings. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, litigation, and case management skills and will be deeply committed to achieving favorable outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients before the New York Workers’ Compensation Board in all phases of claims
Manage a caseload independently, from initial consultation to resolution
Conduct virtual hearings and settlement negotiations with professionalism and efficiency
Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and related correspondence
Communicate clearly and consistently with clients to keep them informed throughout their case
Work collaboratively with legal staff to ensure timely and accurate case handling
Monitor legal deadlines and meet internal performance goals
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in New York (in good standing)
Minimum 3 years of recent experience handling workers’ compensation cases
Strong litigation skills, with confidence conducting virtual hearings
Excellent written and oral communication abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Full-time onsite availability, Monday–Friday
Work Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation:
Base salary between $150,000–$250,000 annually. Exact compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, and market factors. Total compensation includes salary and a robust benefits package.
