Job Description
** Workers' Compensation Attorney**
A well-established plaintiff-side firm representing injured workers across Ohio is growing its Workers' Compensation department and looking for a Workers' Compensation Attorney who wants to build a meaningful practice advocating for clients during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newer attorney to step into real responsibility early, work directly with experienced partners, and grow into a long-term career. We provide the training, mentorship, and support to help you develop into a strong workers' compensation advocate.
** Why Join Us**
- Real responsibility early, with the chance to manage your own files and appear at hearings rather than waiting years for substantive work
- Direct mentorship from experienced partners who are invested in your development
- A clear, defined path for growth, including opportunities to assist on mandamus appeals and argue before the Tenth District
- A collegial, team-oriented environment where your work directly impacts the lives of injured workers
- The stability of an established firm with the room to build a long-term career
** What You'll Do**
- Represent and counsel clients on their rights and obligations in workers' compensation matters
- Monitor cases to ensure clients receive all benefits they are entitled to
- Negotiate with adjusters and opposing counsel to reach fair and timely resolutions
- Attend hearings before administrative bodies and courts throughout Ohio
- Review case files and medical documentation to evaluate treatment status, case value, and next steps
- Communicate regularly with clients and medical providers to manage expectations and answer questions
- Properly handle liens, letters of protection, notice requirements, and key deadlines on every file
- Provide coverage and support to other attorneys as needed
** What We're Looking For**
- JD and admission to the Ohio Bar (required)
- New graduates and attorneys with 1-2 years of experience are encouraged to apply; workers' compensation experience is a plus but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Genuine empathy for clients and the ability to manage client relationships with care
- Strong organization, analytical ability, and attention to detail
- A team player with a strong work ethic and a desire to grow
** Location**
Hybrid role based in the Cleveland/Euclid area. We are also open to candidates in Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, and Toledo.
We offer a full benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) with employer match, and paid time off.
We are an equal opportunity employer.
