Job Summary: The Corporate Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist oversees and coordinates the processing of claims by communicating with employees, employers, claims adjusters, carriers, attorneys, and state and federal entities. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented and skilled in reporting and processing claims, gathering information, responding to inquiries, and assisting in claims reviews, claims resolution, and risk management.

Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day claims reporting, ensuring timely, accurate submissions and responding to inquiries across multiple lines of business.
Communicate claims activity with claimants, employers, adjusters, carriers, brokers, legal teams, and internal stakeholders through phone and written correspondence.
Serve as a liaison to business units, meeting specific claim requirements through detailed reporting and analysis.
Attend claim meetings, reviews, mediations, depositions, and hearings as needed.
Oversee claim action plans, coordinate return-to-work efforts, and support cost containment through strategic vendor partnerships.
Manage litigation processes and assist with subrogation and settlement negotiations.
Process payments to vendors, attorneys, carriers, and other claim-related entities.
Maintain and update claims management systems, ensuring accurate data entry and timely distribution of reports.
Oversee claim recoveries, including subrogation, Second Injury Fund recoveries, and Medicare offsets; ensure eligible claims are reported to excess carriers.
Perform assigned projects and training, referring complex cases to supervisors and seeking guidance as needed for file handling.
Qualifications:
High school diploma with 2+ years' experience processing workers' compensation claims or Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business, accounting, or a related field. Ability to obtain or possess required insurance licenses/designations.
Proficiency in Spanish (written and verbal), preferred.
Experience with Texas non-subscriber workers’ compensation claims, certificates of insurance, and property insurance documentation.
Familiarity with the Food and Beverage industry, OSHA recordkeeping (300, 301, 300A), state and federal workers’ compensation laws, and handling property, general liability, or auto claims.
Strong conflict resolution, listening, and professional communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, including interpreting medical and legal documents.
This role is based at our Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, Texas, with an engaging, collaborative environment, requiring on-site attendance from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
