    Trueline is seeking a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to lead a practice in Columbia, SC. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity for a self-driven litigator with at least two years of experience—and ideally a partial book of business—to help expand the firm's South Carolina footprint.

    What You'll Do as the Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney:

    • Represent employers and insurers in all stages of workers' comp claims
    • Handle hearings, depositions, mediations, and appeals independently
    • Draft motions, legal memoranda, and client-facing reports
    • Collaborate with partners in other offices to drive business development
    • Act as the point person for the Columbia office with autonomy and leadership

    Must-Haves as the Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney:

    • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
    • Active license to practice in South Carolina
    • At least 2 years of experience in workers' comp defense or related litigation
    • Ability to work independently and manage a growing caseload
    • Strong interest in business development and client cultivation

    Nice-to-Haves as the Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney:

    • Dual bar admission in South Carolina and North Carolina
    • Existing or partial book of business
    • Comfort operating as the lead attorney in a smaller office environment
    • Willingness to collaborate with remote partners on strategic growth

    This Role Offers:

    • Base salary from $90,000 to $120,000, depending on experience and book
    • Bonuses tied to billables and/or revenue generated, with no hard cap
