    Are you a Quality Control Technician and looking for a new opportunity?

    In this position you will inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh various materials (raw and processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled products) for defects using precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment.

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 7 am - 4 pm (Overtime and weekend work will be required during heavy production periods)

    Pay Rate: $20.00-$25.00/hr. (dependent upon experience)

    Essential Functions:

    • Inspect products using gauges and coordinate measuring machines, scales, and vision before shipment.
    • Generate spreadsheets for data collection.
    • Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments.
    • Interact with Government Source Inspector as needed.
    • Test incoming and finished products and raw materials.
    • Operate, clean, and maintain Batch Plant
    • All other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:

    • Up to 3 years of experience in Quality Control function in a concrete manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.
    • Clear communication (oral and written) skills.
    • Ability to keep accurate records.
    • Ability to follow documented procedures and standards.
    • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
    • Knowledge of concrete batching design.
    • Ability to frequently lift heavy objects.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • State required concrete technician certification for the state of Virginia.
    • ACI Certification and willing to be trained for certification.
    • NPCA PQS1 Certification and/or willing to be trained for certification.

    Working Conditions:

    Working in a production environment with ambient air conditions, loud noise, dangerous equipment, variable lighting and chemicals. Facility management to review the complete inventory of SDS’s prior to offering the position.
