Overview
BryceTech is seeking a Classification Support Specialist to provide direct support to the International Trade Administration’s (ITA) Industry and Analysis (I&A) Office of Analysis and Strategy (OAS). The Specialist will be responsible for preparing position descriptions, supporting classification requests, and advising on organizational position management. This role ensures that classification processes are accurate, efficient, and aligned with federal guidelines while serving as a primary point of contact throughout the classification process.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the drafting, review, and submission of position descriptions (PDs) and classification requests.
Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the classification process, from initiation to completion.
Provide technical advice and assistance to staff and customers regarding classification and position management issues.
Identify and recommend areas of improvement for current classification and position management processes.
Support documentation requirements and ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
Coordinate with management and HR stakeholders to resolve classification complexities.
Maintain organized records of classification activities and deliverables.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in classification support, position management, or HR program administration.
Strong knowledge of federal classification systems, policies, and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to analyze position requirements and draft accurate position descriptions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience supporting federal classification and position management functions.
Familiarity with federal HR systems and position documentation tools.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex classification issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple classification requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
