For more than 10 years we have grown our brand on the foundation of a mission to build a more connected biotech workforce, and today that mission is more alive than ever before. That’s why we’re hiring a content and community manager. We need you to help us develop and deliver exceptional experiences that engage our community and help us better connect people with biotech employers.

    Biobuzz.io was launched in 2018 as the Capital Region’s first and only dedicated media platform for the biotech community and it has grown to become a respected source for news, events, and insights into the happenings of the people and companies that matter.

    We build community through in-person and virtual events, several newsletters, and social media. Leveraging these tools we have grown our community and also provide value to sponsors and advertisers who want to be in front of this audience. The right community manager for BioBuzz will not only leverage these tools but bring new ideas and expertise to develop creative solutions that enhance the value we deliver to the community, employers, and to the clients we serve.

    What will you do in this role?

    • You will work with the Head of Marketing and BD to manage client and employer relationships and deliver exceptional experiences by executing on our deliverables via the BioBuzz media platform.

    • Events - You will organize and manage online and offline events (including webinars, recruiting events, chats, happy hours, panel discussions) and manage pre/post email promotion and correspondence, etc.

    • Content - You will create and curate engaging content (copy/graphics/video) for all digital platforms including website, weekly and monthly newsletter, and social media.

    • Community Strategy - You will help develop and execute a strategy that builds an engaged community through our website, newsletter, social media, events, and other platforms as identified.

    • You will ingrain yourself in the industry and BioBuzz community and represent our brand as a key face of BioBuzz to our audience.

    • You will develop and manage an online community strategy that grows our audience and creates exceptional experiences and value for our audiences.

    • You will identify and execute on creative content and community engagement opportunities based on current events and activities happening within the community.

    Experience:

    You will thrive in this role if you…

    • Have 5 years of experience in marketing that includes online community building through marketing, content, and events.  Experience in the recruiting or HR industry is a plus.

    • Have successfully grown a brand by fostering a highly engaged online and offline community.

    • Are experienced with applications such as; Google Apps (GSuite, Analytics, etc.), MailChimp, HubSpot, Hootsuite, Canva, Video Editing, & WordPress.

    • Possess talent in several of the following areas: writing, Digital Media (Video & Graphic), Marketing (social media, email marketing, and analytics), event planning and management, storytelling.
