    Homebased Project Manager


    Our client is a small biotechnology company focused on the development and commercialization of live biotherapeutic and probiotic medicines. The team leverages the field of microbiome science to deliver novel, clinically supported, live biotherapeutic and probiotic treatments for a variety of unmet medical needs for both humans and veterinary applications.  This company is entrepreneurial in nature, flat and dynamic allowing changes to be implemented quickly.

    Summary/Objective:

    The Project Manager is accountable for the development, management, delivery, and oversight of activities, processes and workstreams, as may be assigned, supports the Chief Business Officer with the company's products.

    The candidate will work with multifunctional teams to support, control, and deliver existing and new products to market.

    Project Management Governance:

    1. Establish the PMO role and operating model for company projects to include operational and clinical development projects which may include regulatory FDA interactions

    2. Implementing standards for project management capabilities, project processes, success measurement criteria (key performance indicators/scorecards), methodologies, and tools to be used

    3. Developing, embedding, and creating project policies/standards and contract obligations as well as the ongoing compliance with set standards

    4. Collaborating with other stakeholders to share knowledge and perform after action reviews

    Project Tracking & Monitoring:

    1. Owning and facilitating the project plan and process

    2. Monitoring, analyzing, controlling, and reporting budgets

    3. Leading all aspects of the integrated risk, issue, and change resolution process

    4. Integrating, tracking, and providing project status reports

    5. Providing support to development, operations, or functional leads as may be required

    6. Other responsibilities as assigned

     

    Education and Experience:

    1. Relevant BS/BA Degree in Science or related discipline

    2. 5+ years of experience within the life sciences (pharmaceutical or medical food industry, drug development and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience, or other relevant experience)

    3. General understanding of regulatory framework as to provide input on procedural and documentation requirements for assigned deliverable(s)

    4. Project Management Professional (PMP®) or Program Management Professional (PgMP®) certification preferred but not required

    5. Experience working in a PMO or position that defines and drives process

    6. Excellent working understanding of project management tools and processes

    7. Exceptional project planning skills including KPI management

    8. Actively contributes to finding innovative ways to tackle project challenges

    9. Cost/budget management, oversight/reconciliation, and analysis skills

    10. Outstanding attention to detail, a high degree of organization, and a strong sense of motivation

    11. Ability to balance multiple goals and deadlines

    12. Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision

    13. Superb organizational and tracking skills with great attention to detail

    14. Adaptable, dependable and responsible

    15. MacOS computer skills with high proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    16. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
