  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking an R&D Assistant/Associate to join an exciting startup focused on developing next generation cancer immunotherapeutics. In this role, you will have the opportunity to get off the bench and play a role in drug development in the immuno-oncology area. You will support generation of study proposals, experimental design, data analysis, and literature review. To be successful in this role, you will need to be well-organized, multi-functional, and self-motivated.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Participate in research-related activities in conjunction with other staff members and external collaborators including formulating and writing proposals, planning and managing research projects, report preparation, and presentation of findings

    • Manage projects of moderate size and scope; make substantial contributions to determine feasibility of goals and objectives

    • Identify and solve technical issues leading to long-term solutions that meet research objectives and milestones

    • Maintain external research relationships to identify and develop new funding sources

    • Perform other assigned duties

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Assistant: Bachelors in biology, biochemistry, immunology or related sciences and 0-2 years experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology field

    • Associate: Bachelors or Masters in biology, biochemistry, immunology or related sciences and 2+ years experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology field

    • Diverse knowledge and experience in various relevant areas, including but not limited to molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, cancer biology, and/or neuroscience. Focus on immunology and/or bioinformatics and animal work is a plus

    • Must possess superior analytical and creative thinking skills

    • Capable of performing multiple functions in a fast-paced environment

    • Strong technical writing and presentation skills

    • Excellent attention to detail and record keeping abilities to adequately record R&D activities

    • Understanding of general FDA regulatory requirements associated with approval of biologics for human use is a plus
