About the Role:

1ABOVE QUALITY SERVICES LLC is looking for a motivated and hands-on Working Team Lead to oversee Federal Custodial Services in Norfolk, VA. This is a unique opportunity to lead by example, working alongside your team to deliver exceptional cleanliness and facility maintenance standards at federal facilities. Responsibilities:

Supervise and work alongside custodial team members to ensure federal facility cleanliness standards are met

Perform hands-on janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing restrooms, and trash removal

Assign tasks and manage daily workflow to ensure efficient completion of custodial operations

Conduct quality control inspections to verify compliance with federal contract requirements and standards

Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage

Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting shortages to management

Ensure adherence to OSHA safety regulations and federal facility security protocols

Requirements:

Prior experience in commercial or federal custodial/janitorial services required

Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred

Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance or building access credentials

Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and industry best practices

Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic

Excellent communication and team leadership skills

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, and moving for extended periods
