    This position will report to the Director, Fund Development and support the Fund Development team with day-to-day operational, administrative, and coordination functions. This person will work closely with the members of the team and will provide support for the organization’s fundraising events.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Department administrative support (60%), including:
      • The production of the Development calendar, meeting agendas/notes/action items, slide decks and follow-up materials, grant reports and applications, maintain department records, event, and meeting coordination.
      • Calendar and coordinate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) days and clothing drives (CDs) externally with corporate donors and internally with respective departments.
      • Tour organization and support.
      • Field in-coming requests via phone and email.
      • Cultivation and stewardship activities as requested. 
      • Management of Development digital and printed material/collateral and reordering as needed with Marketing. 
      • Research donor prospects and maintain a donor prospect portfolio.
      • Management of ghost email accounts.
      • Management of mid-level corporate donors in support of the DEV Coordinator’s fundraising efforts.
      • Solicitation and stewardship of lapsed donors and entry-level donors.
    • Event support (40%), including:
      • Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events, budgets, tracking and communicating with event RSVPs, pre-event planning with vendors and speakers, day-of-event management, and important follow-up stakeholder engagement.
      • Organize event materials.

    SKILLS:

    • Project support with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and completion within a dynamic, fast-paced, and team environment. Proactive approach to managing time-sensitive and competing workloads.
    • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills in both verbal and written form. Experience in thinking strategically, creatively, and independently.
    • Positive attitude with a commitment and passion for problem-solving, program impact, and continuous process improvement.
    • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office products, particularly Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (experience with databases, auction software, and other electronic tracking systems a plus).
    • Technically savvy to learn company CRM system.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

    • Able to remain in a stationary position (both sitting and standing) for extended periods of time (50%).
    • Able to move about inside the Career Center to access files, call donors, event coordinators and volunteers, etc.
    • Able to operate office equipment such as a computer, calculator, copy machine and fax
    • machine.
    • Able to move equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds for various events.
    • Able to move, traverse – move to access documents, files, supplies, etc.
    • Must be able to work from a computer sending email, view electronic documents, and stare at a computer screen for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours per day with intermittent breaks).
    • Frequently communicate with donors and volunteers who have inquiries about the organization’s mission and services. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
