    Why We Need You

    This role sits at the intersection of Workplace Operations and IT Operations coordination.

    You will help ensure our offices run smoothly while also managing equipment logistics and supporting basic device coordination across teams.

    This is not a deep technical IT role.

    Instead, this role focuses on operational coordination, organization, and proactive problem solving.

    Equipment and laptops are organized and tracked properly

    New hires are set up for success on Day 1

    This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the operational backbone of a growing company and takes pride in making sure the workplace runs seamlessly behind the scenes.

    The Impact You'll Have

    Workplace Operations (50%)

    Support the daily operational needs of the office and coordinate across company locations.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Office supply ordering and vendor coordination
    • Coordinating office cleaning services and facilities support
    • Managing building work orders (HVAC, repairs, maintenance)
    • Maintaining organization of equipment storage areas
    • Coordinating UPS / FedEx shipments and equipment returns
    • Supporting onsite employee onboarding and offboarding logistics
    • Ensuring conference rooms are functional and technology ready
    • Maintaining organization and cleanliness of shared workspaces

    This role owns:

    IT & Equipment Operations Coordination (50%)

    Support laptop and device coordination in partnership with internal IT support.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Coordinating with Equipment Point-of-Contacts across offices
    • Maintaining equipment asset trackers and serial number accuracy
    • Basic laptop troubleshooting before escalating to Helpdesk
    • Coordinating laptop provisioning and device logistics
    • Ensuring new hires receive equipment on Day 1
    • Partnering with IT support specialist when issues escalate
    • Supporting basic Google Workspace and Slack administration if needed
    • Maintaining visibility into equipment inventory and device compliance

    This role owns:

    ✅ What Success Looks Like

    • 2 to 5 years of professional experience
    • Startup or fast-growth company experience preferred (100–300 employees ideal)

    Previous roles may include:

    • Office Coordinator
    • Workplace Operations Specialist
    • IT Support Coordinator
    • Helpdesk Level 1 Support
    • Workplace / Facilities Coordinator

    ✅ What We Really Need From You

    Organization

    • Strong attention to detail
    • Comfortable maintaining operational trackers and documentation
    • Process-oriented with strong follow-through
    • Strong mulit-tasking capabilities

    Tools

    • Google Workspace (GSuite) proficiency
    • Slack experience
    • Familiarity with ticketing systems
    • Exposure to device management tools or MDM systems is helpful (but ability to navigate with limited tech stack preferred)

    Technical Comfort (Not Deep IT Expertise)

    The ideal candidate should be comfortable with basic troubleshooting such as:

    • Laptop provisioning
    • Device wipes and resets
    • Login troubleshooting
    • WiFi connectivity issues
    • Printer setup and troubleshooting
    • Monitor, dock, and headset connections
    • Basic operating system troubleshooting
    • Identifying when to escalate issues

    Soft Skills

    • Confident communicating with vendors and building management
    • Comfortable coordinating across multiple teams
    • Proactive communicator
    • High ownership mindset
    • Thrives in fast-paced environments
    • Comfortable operating with ambiguity

    Logistics Expectations

    • 100% in-office role (8AM–5PM CT)
    • Charlotte, NC location strongly preferred (Austin, TX considered)
    • Occasional offsite shipping drop-offs may be required
    • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (equipment shipments)
    • Comfortable maintaining organized equipment storage areas
