    We are looking to hire for the position of Medical Office Assistant.  The position is full time and is based in Stockton, CA.

    The Medical Office Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of the office manager; they are tasked with a broad range of clerical support services. 

    Our firm provides Human Resources Support to a privately owned Pathology Group in Stockton, CA. Our job is to help our client recruit the right person for this job opening. Therefore, please note: This is NOT a temp agency, this is a direct hire, full-time and permanent position. You will work for the private Pathology Group. The work schedule is MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, 8:30 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    It is the main role of the Medical Office Assistant is to transcribe dictation from the pathologists and/or the pathology aid. The Medical Office Assistant also performs a variety of duties including but not limited to reviewing billing charges, issuing cancer case summary reports, maintaining weekly/monthly pathology schedules, organizing cases for peer review, answering phones, etc. The Medical Office Assistant may also be asked to perform other clerical duties as needed and requested to support daily office operations.  Training provided.

    QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills are essential
    • Keyboarding skills and the ability to utilize computer equipment and software are required as is experience with other types of standard office equipment
    • Ability to sit and enter data into the computer for long periods of time.

    Full Time position, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Starting Wage will DOE, includes health insurance with time off benefits.
