Job Description
The Workplace Technology Administrator is responsible for the administration, stability, and continuous improvement of the organization’s workplace technology ecosystem. This role implements and maintains the configuration, lifecycle management, and operational health of employee‑facing platforms including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Intune (workstation and mobile device management), Okta, Meraki networks and enterprise print solutions.
The role will also provide support to AIR Communities corporate and remote team members by responding to issues and requests via phone, chat, email and in person
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Platform Administration
Administration of workplace technology platforms, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Intune, Okta, mobile device management, and print solutions. Including configurations, policies, access models, and operational standards.
Ensure workplace technologies are implemented consistently across locations, devices, and user populations.
Endpoint, Mobile Device & Hardware Management
Administer Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, configuration profiles, application deployment, compliance enforcement, and patching strategies.
Define and maintain standards for device builds, configurations, and lifecycle management for laptops, mobile phones, tablets, and peripherals.
Manage mobile device management (MDM) policies for corporate‑owned devices, including security, access, and compliance requirements.
Resolve endpoint‑related issues, supporting escalations and guiding support teams.
Identity & Access Management
Administer Okta and Entra ID (Azure AD) to manage authentication, MFA, application access, and user lifecycle workflows.
Design and maintain role‑based access models and group structures to support least‑privilege access and operational efficiency.
Partner with security and application teams to ensure identity and access controls align with organizational standards.
Print & Output Solutions Management
Own the administration and operational health of enterprise print solutions, including network printers, print queues, drivers, and access controls.
Define print standards, provisioning processes, and support models in coordination with vendors or managed print providers.
Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex print‑related issues across corporate and remote environments.
Service Management, Standards & Documentation
Oversee incident and request resolution for workplace technologies, serving as an escalation point rather than a primary Tier 1 responder.
Create, maintain, and enforce technical standards, operational procedures, and knowledge base documentation for workplace platforms.
Analyze trends in incidents and requests to identify root causes and drive long‑term improvements.
Partner with IT leadership and adjacent teams on workplace technology initiatives, platform upgrades, and service enhancements.
Evaluate new tools, features, and updates, assisting with testing, validation, and controlled rollouts.
Contribute to roadmap planning and recommendations for improving the employee digital workplace experience.
