    Position: Instructor Locations: Henderson and Las Vegas (with potential for virtual work-from-home and or hybrid classes) Pay Range: $19–$23 per hour (Workshop and Work Card Instruction/Proctoring) Employment Type: Part-Time (5 - 25 hours per week)

    Overview

    Employment Support Services is seeking a skilled and passionate Workshop Instructor to join our team. This role involves teaching workshops and work card classes at either of our Henderson and Northwest Las Vegas locations, as well as virtually or in a hybrid format (a mix of in-person and online instruction). As an Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering scaffolded learning plans, proctoring exams, and accommodating diverse learning styles for individuals with disabilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    Teaching and Curriculum Delivery:

    Create and implement scaffolded learning plans based on approved curriculum.

    Teach workshops and work card classes in various formats, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid settings.

    Utilize engaging instructional methods to ensure student success while adhering to the provided curriculum.

    Think creatively to accommodate diverse learning styles and assist students with learning disabilities.

    Student Support:

    Foster an inclusive, supportive, and patient learning environment for a diverse group of students.

    Provide accommodations to support students' unique needs and help them succeed in the classroom or online.

    Technology Use:

    Leverage technology to facilitate virtual and hybrid instruction effectively.

    Utilize Google Workspace, MS Office (Word and Excel), and video conferencing platforms for teaching and reporting.

    Smart phone, tablets, internet, basic computer troubleshooting.

    Reporting and Documentation:

    Complete detailed and accurate reports on student progress and classroom activities.

    Proctor exams (both in-person and online) and ensure proper documentation of results.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    High School Diploma or equivalent required for Workshop Instructors.

    Experience:

    At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities (paid, unpaid, or personal).

    At least 2 years of relevant experience in teaching, training, advocacy, employer engagement, or workforce development.

    Skills:

    Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Proficiency with email, word processing, and data entry.

    Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

    Compassionate and patient approach to working with diverse populations.

    Technological proficiency, including the use of computers, internet, and smartphones.

    Other Requirements:

    Ability to pass a drug test and background check.

    Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations.

    Technologically savvy for basic reporting and communication tasks.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Associates or Bachelor’s degree

    Nevada Teaching License

    Certifications in mandated reporter training, CPR/First Aid, SNHD Health Card.

    Experience developing scaffolded learning plans or customized educational materials.

    Familiarity with accommodations and support strategies for students with learning disabilities.

    Previous experience in virtual or hybrid teaching environments.

    Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

    Compensation

    Hourly pay ranging from $19–$23, based on experience and qualifications.

    Paid travel between classroom locations.
