POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Security Implementation Specialist is responsible for managing the escalation of security issues along with our IT Security team.  They plan, implement, and monitor the products within our Security Essentials offering to protect our customer's networks, assets, and information.  This position works with our Implementation team on security related projects.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage and implement installation of Worksighted's Security Essentials services
2. Coordinate with clients and provide regular status updates on their Security Essentials implementation.
3. Assist in pre-sales security opportunities and identify training opportunities for sales team.
4. Perform security monitoring and incident response
5. Manage escalation of security events; assist with such events as needed and make recommendations to correct or prevent future incidents
6. Maintain and follow Incident Response procedure
7. Manage multiple, simultaneous security initiatives and responses
8. Monitor security audit logs and access control practices to ensure adherence to policies and procedures for customers on contract security agreements
9. Provide regular reporting on current state of information security program to Worksighted leadership.
10. Liaise with relevant internal departments (of Worksighted) and external agencies as needed to ensure clients maintain a strong security posture
11. Work with Network Engineer to audit, monitor and validate their environments security, including conducting gap analysis and other comprehensive internal assessments of existing systems to improve the security infrastructure and mitigate risks
12. Provide input to the architecture and engineering of new security systems as part of Tech Stack updates; including the evaluation of technical designs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

1. Degree in Computer Science/MIS/Telecommunications or related field.

2. A minimum of 2-3 years IT information security related experience.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

1. Strong knowledge of common security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST and CSA.
2. Strong technical skills
3. Excellent communication, people and organization skills.
4. Strong ability to convey security information to non-technical end-users in a way that inspires adoption and adherence to all IT and Board security policies and programs
5. Knowledge of information security frameworks, capability-maturity models.
6. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a transformation environment.
