    Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Occupational Medicine Clinic. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive occupational health services to employees and employers, promoting wellness, preventing illness, and facilitating the safe return-to-work process. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals and make a significant impact on the health and safety of workers in various industries.

    Responsibilities:

    Conduct thorough assessments of occupational health needs, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing as necessary.

    Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for work-related injuries and illnesses, adhering to evidence-based practices and regulatory guidelines.

    Provide ongoing health education and counseling to employees regarding injury prevention, workplace safety, and overall wellness.

    Collaborate with employers, case managers, and other healthcare providers to facilitate the timely and safe return-to-work process for injured employees.

    Perform medical surveillance exams and screenings to monitor the health status of workers exposed to occupational hazards, such as toxic substances or infectious agents.

    Evaluate and manage workers' compensation claims, including documentation, communication with insurance carriers, and participation in case conferences as needed.

    Administer immunizations and conduct pre-placement physical examinations to ensure employees meet job-related health requirements.

    Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and clinic policies.

    Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.

    Stay current on occupational health trends, regulations, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development activities.

    Qualifications:

    Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.

    Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner/ APRN in the state of practice, with certification in occupational health preferred.

    Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in occupational medicine or a related field.

    Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate and execute comprehensive treatment plans.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse patient populations and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

    Proficiency in basic computer applications.

    Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in healthcare practice.

    Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment.

    CPR certification and additional relevant certifications such as DOT Medical Examiner is required.

    Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site evaluations or employer consultations.
