  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a Paralegalto join our team in the Austin office. This is a dynamic position that allows the ****Paralegal a great opportunity to work closely with our in-house attorneys on a variety of matters. A winning, can-do and team player attitude makes you a great fit for our team!

    Responsibilities Include

    · Tracking and reporting on a variety of legal matters, including communicating open items, deadlines, status, and ad hoc reporting as required.

    · Investigating factual issues utilizing internal and external resources to gather information and present findings in logical format.

    · Facilitating communications with employees, vendors, tenants, outside counsel and other stakeholders as directed by counsel.

    · Assisting with HR administration including maintaining and ensuring safekeeping of confidential personnel records, on-boarding and exit documentation, benefits processing and other HR duties.

    · Coordinating deal closings including organizing and managing deal folders, obtaining appropriate approvals, facilitating closing day execution, tracking post-closing deliverables.

    · Preparing standard contracts based on prepared forms, including confidentiality and non-compete agreements, lease amendments, etc.

    · Maintaining records for corporate entities including, filing certificates of formation, dissolution, EINs, and other organizational and related documents.

    · Providing additional support to company's legal team as needed.

    Requirements

    · Optimistic attitude with can-do mentality

    · Minimum of 5+ years paralegal or legal assistant experience at a law firm or in-house legal department

    · Preferred prior transaction and litigation experience, real estate experience a plus

    · Confidentiality and sound discretion a must

    · Expert proficiency with MS Office required

    · Familiarity with Westlaw, PACER, ECF and state court filing systems a plus

    · Excellent organizational skills and results driven

    · Ability to work as a team or independently as needed
