    THE WORLD EQUESTRIAN CENTER is currently seeking a HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR to join our team! This position provides administrative support to the Director of Human Resources and General Manager. Human Resources duties will include the benefit administration and recruitment support. Interacts with all employees providing Human Resources guidance.

     PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • General administrative support for the General Manager to include phone, mail, filing and various correspondences.
    • Assist with various  events that take place during the day, evenings or occasional weekends.
    • Greets all employees in a friendly, helpful manner to learn of the service need from Human Resources. When possible, will respond to the service need by providing the requested information and or assistance in completing various human resources forms.
    • Answers phone calls within 3 rings in a friendly manner and offers appropriate assistance.
    • Updates as needed the weekly job opening list and communicates it to the various agencies, schools and chambers of commerce.
    • Assists in screening applicants in the absence of the Director of Human Resources.
    • Sends out the weekly response to applicants that are not selected for employment.
    • Coordinates the weekly New Employee Orientation program, when needed. Prepares materials for New Employee Orientation and will, on occasion assist in the New Employee Orientation delivery.
    • Assist with new job offers and new employee paperwork, I-9 form administration, uniforms, transponders and time cards.
    • Processes as needed background checks and reports any concerns that are reported back from background company.
    • Processes separations as needed, including collection of uniforms, issuance of final paychecks and filing of separation records.
    • Managers the personnel files to include daily filing.
    • Adheres to a strict code of confidentiality.
    • Assist as needed with various employee relations projects such as monthly birthday celebrations, Team member of the Quarter recognition, and All Team member meetings. Will assist in updating materials on the employee bulletin boards.
    • Have complete knowledge of all policies, standards and procedures of the department.          
    • Be familiar with resort services, amenities, and outlets.
    • Maintain cleanliness of work area.
    • Available for work assignments outside of associate’s customary work schedule. This may include evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays.
    • Adherence to all safety rules and regulations.
    • Compliance with all resort policies and procedures and described and communicated by management.
    • Additional duties as assigned by management.

    QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Bilingual in Spanish and English - required
    • Computer literate in Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, Publisher and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and handling multiple duties.
    • Excellent telephone manner.
    • Friendly and personable.
    • Must be able to understand and write English.
    • Minimum of 3 years human resources experience in benefits, recruitment, training and employee relations required. Previous office and clerical support preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years hospitality industry.
