    The World Equestrian Center located in Ocala Florida is seeking Technical Coordinator, Equestrian Operations.

    The overall responsibility of the Technical Coordinator, Equestrian Operations is to support operations in the daily work activities and support functions of equine events at the World Equestrian Center properties.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Oversees crew operations during equine events. Complete work assignments, oversee equipment/obstacle planning, and coordinate set up and breakdown for equine competition.
    • Assist in hiring, scheduling, and terminating employees within the department.
    • Lead and motivate a team of up to 100 supervisors and crew members.
    • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and follow proper safety measures.
    • Must be able to operate and train staff in light and heavy equipment operation, such as tractors, water trucks, bucket lifts and forklifts.
    • Clear communication with the Footing Maintenance Manager to ensure arena footing is in good condition and meets the needs of competitors.
    • Plan and oversee routine maintenance of facility and equipment during non-equine event periods, such as painting, jump building/repair, pressure washing, etc.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Physical Requirements:

    These physical demands represent the physical requirements necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the described essential functions of the position.

    • Associate may have to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
    • Lift and carry up to 50lbs.
    • May be required to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
    • Will be required to work non-traditional schedule including extended hours, weekends, and Holidays.
    • 5+ years of Horse Show operations experience in English and Western disciplines, including show jumping event operations and ring set-up.
    • 5+ years of experience coaching and leading teams of supervisors and team members of 25< people.
    • Knowledge of light and heavy equipment such as tractors, drags, water trucks, bucket lifts and forklifts.
    • 5+ years of experience with footing maintenance, specifically synthetic materials (GGT) and clay/sand.
    • Ability to read, write and speak English.
    • Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to inspire and motivate large teams.
