WORLD EQUESTRIAN CENTER -  OCALA, FLORIDA is currently seeking a SPRAY TECHNICIAN to assist with chemical applications on the grounds and landscaping of our magnificent facility. Limited lawn and ornamental license holder or other FDACS license preferred but not required. BMP training preferred but not required. Position is outdoors so candidates must be able to come to work and produce results regardless of outdoor weather conditions. Additionally, the job requires a great deal of often strenuous physical activity therefore applicants should have the ability to meet these requirements. WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS A MUST. WE WORK ON WEEKENDS AS NEEDED AND ON OCCASION. 

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Calibrate chemical equipment and prepare solutions for application.
• Conduct spray applications using various spray rigs/equipment.
• Conduct granular chemical applications and dry products with various spreaders.
• Assist with landscaping tasks on occasion when there are no chemical applications for the day.
• Communicate with Horticulturist on IPM program and assist with scouting.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to work in all weather conditions. 
• Candidate must have excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to read and understand chemical labels/products. Have basic mathematic capabilities.
• Be able to lift 50lbs, able to withstand long periods of walking.
