02 THE JOB At World Vision USA we invite people to positively impact the lives of the world's most vulnerable children through charitable giving. Our recipe includes love of all people, thriftiness, and targeting the root causes of poverty to bring about human transformation and fullness of life. With us every 60 seconds a family gets water, a hungry child is fed, and a family gets the tools to overcome poverty. As SENIOR COPYWRITER working within our internal creative agency, your expertise will be brought to bear on work that is close to the heart of God (in the spirit of Matthew 25:34-40). If you have a passion to connect your talent to life-changing work with impact, look no further.

Come roll-up your sleeves with us and create copy that moves people’s hearts and minds to action. Copywriting here means writing for digital, print, social, as well as scripts that connect our supporters to the frontlines of work in nearly 100 countries around the world. Bring your genuine love for writing and collaborating with like-minded copywriters, storytellers, and designers. Report to the Copywriting Manager and serve alongside a team of 4. We need your strong creative and story-driven voice to help carry out the mission, vision, and strategies of the organization.

You’ll be joining the organization that flipped the script on child sponsorship with the introduction of Chosen®, recognized by AdWeek, MediaPost, Upworthy, Christianity Today, and winner of two 2020 ANA REGGIE Awards. And fundamental to your life: you’re inspired by your faith in Jesus to love God and love your neighbors. Does this sound like you? Want to be a part of creating the future of this incredible organization? We’d love to hear from you.

03 WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (1) You bring your love for writing to create digital, print, video scripts, social and more, connecting with teams across the organization; teams who are developing programs and initiatives that help children, families, and their communities overcome poverty and injustice. (2) You're a lead-by-example writer: You've spent several years cultivating your skills and expertise to confidently tackle any project, write for all mediums and formats, and shoulder assignments big and small. (3) You're used to brainstorming big ideas in content kickoffs, listening to requests from clients, and bringing your own creativity to see campaigns to fruition. (4) You understand the nitty gritty of what it takes to see your copy take off - including UX and SEO functionality - and embed these principles into your writing.

05 ABOUT WORLD VISION USA When you work at World Vision, your passions and talents come together to meet the greatest needs in the world today. We go to ends of the earth and into the margins. Where few go and the road is less traveled. Because Jesus is alive in the hardest places to be a child. We are dangerously soft-hearted. But just the right kind of dangerous. That's because we're a global Christian humanitarian organization. We partner with children, families, and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. We empower people out of poverty. For real. For good. For nearly the last 70 years. Jesus' love at the center. Always. We're Christian and follow Jesus' example to show unconditional love to the poor and oppressed. Serving every child we can regardless of faith. Are you feeling called to explore joining us? We hope so.
