    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Testing of production web sites & web APIs, test planning, automation experience, strong problem-solving skills, and comfortable with agile methodologies.

    PREFERRED/DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Strong leadership, communication, attention to detail, analytical thinking, experience building automation from manual test plans. Experience with JavaScript, WordPress, Google Tag Manager, REST API’s, and testing of complex connected systems a plus. Being an awesome technologist trumps all.

    01 THE JOB You're an experienced Software Quality Assurance Analyst with specific expertise in web technologies and development. You're ready to jump right into a new situation and quickly make contributions to defect-free solutions that scale, minimize downtime, and meet the needs of the organization. As an integral member of a 3-person QA team embedded within our web development and delivery teams, you'll collaborate with developers and product managers as well as perform independent work that leads to larger organizational success. Teamwork across our work teams is key. Our QA team are key collaborators with developers to ensure features are understood and testable. We partner with our web support team on hot-fixes or other production issues. Additionally, we work in parallel with our digital program managers to ensure the optimum end user experience is achieved. All to reach a shared organizational goal of delivering an amazing fundraising website that delights donors and inspires giving that helps change the world. The work calls for you to bring the critical ability to understand technical solutions and break them down into manual or automated tests/plans. As an ideal candidate, you know yourself to be a self-starter, leader, mentor, and someone willing to help drive positive change on a work team. Is this opportunity calling you? We hope so. 

     

    02 WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE At an early stage you actively participate and contribute to solution design and advocate for test-ability. For each 2-week sprint, you analyze and create test plans, automated tests, define the scope of testing, and test execution for the release. You have a mind geared toward continuous testing and fixing pain points that enable the team to move faster with more thorough testing. You help grow junior staff, are found to be a supporter and catalyst of collaboration within our immediate team and other teams we work closely with, expand testing capabilities, streamline workflow, and contribute to a fun team dynamic along the way that keeps morale high.

    05 YOU BRING A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years) and a minimum 4 years quality assurance (QA) testing of web applications with progressively increasing level of responsibility.

     

    06 ADDITIONAL SKILLS WE’RE INTERESTED IN Any experience you have testing production eCommerce web sites, automation experience, leadership, JavaScript, Git, Postman, WordPress, and mobile device testing are value adds and would be used in this role. Any experience working in an agile work environment.
