    01 AT A GLANCE

    ROLE: Team World Vision Local Coach - On-Call

    LEVEL: Associate (1-2 years of experience)

    MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE: 2-year technical or junior college degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience. In addition, this role requires 1-2 years of practical, specialized work experience including background in public speaking and knowledge of church operating structures. Athletic fundraising work experience highly desirable. You'll need to be capable of standing for long periods of time and lift up to 20 pounds (may need to assist with set-up/take-down of exhibits). Domestic travel to various event sites up to 25% of the time. Position requires evenings and weekends work for this type of fundraising work. 

    WORK SCHEDULE INFO: Part-time. On-Call. Less than 20 hours per week. 

    LOCATION: Detroit, MI

    TRAVEL: Domestic as needed up to 25%.

Here at Team World Vision we've been experiencing incredible growth over the past several years and we're excited for the continual investment in the existing markets that we fundraise in. To help us maximize this growth opportunity for Team World Vision and to provide an incredible experience to our participants, we're adding a 20-hour a week local coach to our strategy. In this role you'll help us not only expand into new areas and partnerships, but also deepen our commitment to team captains and runners’ experiences to ensure increased fundraising, year over year retention and long-term donor value. Primary functions include?   

     

    CONVERSION - Increasing conversion rate from INTEREST/YES to what we call “Real Registered Runners”.   

    • Calls, emails, runner registration inquiries, social media impressions.   
    • Supporting team captains in their conversion efforts.

       

    TEAM CAPTAIN CARE - Training support and cultivation of volunteer leaders.

    TRAINING IN SEASON - Group run management and leadership.  

    FUNDRAISING IN-SEASON - In person and virtual fundraising support and coaching of individuals and team captains.  

    RETENTION- Post season invention of retention tools and procedures.  

    RECRUITMENT - Adding new partners and runners to the team.   

    • Identifying potential new church partnerships.   
    • Setting up meetings for full time staff by prospecting and reaching out to local churches in strategic areas.    
    • Launching at churches new and existing partners.

    03 WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (1) You increase Team World Vision's real runner number. (2) You increase funds raised per person (phone calls to participants, hosting an Impact Night, and intentionally keeping fundraising a primary focus in all we do). (3) You increase value of the participant experience at group training sites, group social events, and on race weekend. (4) You increase our overall impact, that is, increase year over year retention and long-term donor value (LTDV).
