01 THE JOB At World Vision USA we invite people to positively impact the lives of the world's most vulnerable children through charitable giving. Our recipe includes love of all people, thriftiness, and targeting the root causes of poverty to bring about human transformation and fullness of life. With us every 60 seconds a family gets water, a hungry child is fed, and a family gets the tools to overcome poverty. As WASH FELLOW your expertise will be brought to bear on work that is close to the heart of God (in the spirit of Matthew 25:34-40).

Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) are at the heart of child well-being and foundational to World Vision’s mission for all children and their communities to experience life in all its fullness.  For more than 35 years, World Vision has been committed to stand in the gap, globally leveraging resources and locally working alongside communities to ensure millions of children around the world have access to clean water, dignified sanitation and healthy hygiene practices.  However, there is much work left to be done.  As our work enters a new decade with only 10 years remaining on the calendar to achieve the 2030 U.N. Sustainable Development Goals, World Vision must accelerate efforts.  We have put together a Global WASH Business Plan, outlining our commitment to invest $1 billion over the next five years to extend the impact of our work across 41 countries. Report to the Director of WASH, develop your skills, explore your interests, and build your international development experience by making a meaningful contribution in helping millions of people. We’re looking for a full-time, 2-year fellow to contribute to our evolving monitoring and research practices, especially our growing use of GIS technology. Bring your creative, tenacious character and interest in learning to our highly productive WASH team of 12 people that sits within our International Programs Group.

You’ll be joining the team that flipped the script on child sponsorship with the introduction of Chosen®, recognized by AdWeek, MediaPost, Upworthy, Christianity Today and winner of two 2020 ANA REGGIE Awards. And fundamental to your life: you’re inspired by your faith in Jesus to love God and love your neighbors. Does this sound like you? Want to be a part of creating the future of this incredible organization? We’d love to hear from you. At World Vision our ultimate dream is to see more children, families, and communities affected by poverty experience the fullness of life that God intends for them. Do you share in this dream with us and so many others? We hope so. Reach out and let us know.

02 WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (1) You will gain experience working on several on-going behavior change field research projects (2) You will help build a behavior change training curriculum and deliver training workshops (3) You will grow your skills in analyzing project data, writing reports, contributing to peer-reviewed publications and writing proposals (4) When travel is possible, you will travel internationally and lead at least one planned learning project. (5) You will gain valuable insights through participation in coaching and mentorships with leaders across the World Vision organization.
