Launched in 2011, All Children Reading: A Grand Challenge for Development (ACR GCD) is a partnership of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), World Vision and the Australian Government that advances edtech innovation and research to improve reading outcomes for marginalized children in low-resource contexts. World Vision, on behalf of the Partners is searching for a visionary and strategic leader with expertise in partnership management, public engagement, and innovation. A background in international education and an understanding of the contribution of technology to literacy and learning is highly desirable.
The Project Director will lead a dynamic and creative team of program management and communications professionals in coordinating the Challenge Management activities on behalf of the ACR GCD partners and lead World Vision’s engagement in the partnership. ACR GCD has recently launched a new strategy of which the Project Director will guide its implementation.
The position will have overall responsibility for the management of all agreed upon ACR GCD activities and relationships with the Partners, awardees, and additional collaborators under this initiative. S/he will have responsibility for representing ACR GCD on behalf of the Founding Partners, which includes guiding a creative communication and convening strategy. The Project Director will be responsible for overall project planning and activities, budget monitoring, resource acquisition and management, and quality reporting to the ACR GCD partners. The Project Director shall have extensive experience in fostering and managing complex partnerships and will work collaboratively with ACR GCD partner offices/missions and posts to accomplish the ACR GCD strategy. The Project Director will also have responsibility for engaging new funding and technical collaborators on behalf of, and in coordination with the ACR GCD partners. In addition, the Project Director will help carry out World Vision’s Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies.
