    World Vision is now hiring a SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER GIFT IN KIND (GIK) SPECIALIST

     

     

     

    01 THE JOB We are looking for a GIFT IN KIND (GIK) SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER SPECIALIST who will provide support to the GIK Field Relations Team Lead. The Senior Program Manager Specialist will give support in the development of strategy and operational approaches to the global allocation of GIK resources, in alignment with Child Well-being outcomes. You will lead and manage assessments, training, and relationships between World Vision US and Regional Offices related to GIK programming and Corporate Donor support. The Senior Program Manager Specialist will work directly with key stakeholders, including strategic donors, Global Center operating units, the Global GIK group, Regional Offices, and National Offices, to improve collaboration and effectiveness in World Vision's use of donated product resources. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies.  Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

     

    • Guide the overall product allocation for assigned countries and regions.
    • Engage directly with Regional and National Officers to understand and participate in the development and execution of national strategies and priorities related to GIK.
    • Promote and implement processes to improve GIK planning and support efforts to achieve greater alignment of the GIK portfolio with field needs.
    • Identify potential funding opportunities and address problems that prevent the effective use of GIK.
    • Serve as the liaison between field personnel and donor facing teams.
    • Provide supply chain management and GIK technical expertise for related business development efforts.
    • Act as a technical expert in the joint development of funding proposals, operational processes, and programmatic approaches.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to Corporate Engagement teams to integrate resource generation strategies for funding proposals, program initiatives, and product development.
    • Assess capabilities of National Offices and lead training for GIK field relations staff in operating and programming standards, including supply chain management.
    • Lead Regional and National Office visits, and train staff on how to apply and train for consistent standards.
    • Provide field-level operational and programming expertise to the GIK field relations business.
    • Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as part of a team.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the WVUS Intranet and other corporate communication tools.

     

     

     

    02 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

     

     

     

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years). 
    • Work experience in international development and gifts-in-kind (GIK), with experience in supply chain management, distribution, or related area; 5-7 years.
    • Exceptional customer service skills.
    • Work experience leading assessments and trainings preferred.
    • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience working with international organizations, highly desired.
    • Previous project management experience.
    • Must be able to do up to 25% travel when feasible with company policy, international and domestic.
    • THE ABILITY TO WRITE AND SPEAK FRENCH FLUENTLY, IS STRONGLY PREFERRED.

    • Comfortable leading and facilitating training.
    • Has built rapport with internal and external clients.
    • Able to communicate with people of various levels of the organization.
    • Established relationships with representatives in World Vision field offices.
    • Can provide support to other team members when needed.
