    World Vision is hiring a TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST to serve on the Information Management Technology Team.

     

    01 AT A GLANCE: 

    ROLE: Business Analyst II

    LOCATION: Remote

    REPORTS TO: IS Senior Manager

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent (eight years) work experience. In addition to education or education equivalent, requires 3 years of relevant technical or business work experience. Requires working knowledge of business operations and systems requirements processes. Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) certification preferred within 24 months of hire into this role.

    WORK AUTHORIZATION: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. for any employer.

    TRAVEL: Negligible; Can be in both development and fragile contexts.

     

    02 THE JOB:

    World Vision is looking for a TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST to manage the ongoing development of our Program Management Information System. This role will be responsible for gathering technical requirements, designing and prototyping builds, developing/making configs in a low-code environment, testing, and supporting other project initiatives. Additionally, this role will assist in high-level support troubleshooting and assistance. We are looking for a candidate that is excited to carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies and is eager to personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign. 

    Salesforce experience is highly recommended.

     

    03 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

    Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.

    Planning: • Participate in short-term planning sessions with a client to implement process improvement within an assigned client area. • Assist in business case development. • Develop business cases.

    Liaison: • Serve as the link between the business, third-party vendors and the IT technical team.

    Business Requirements: • Assess client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to assist in identifying business priorities and advice on options. • Develops, writes, and communicates business requirements and functional specifications for the implementation of business solutions. • Analyze customer's operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities for improvements.

    Business Process: • Analyze and recommend improvements to business processes and models. • Document current business processes and models.

    Feasibility: • Provide factual content to feasibility study for standard development projects and enhancements.

    Testing: • Develop user test cases, execute tests, validate test results during user acceptance testing, then report results.

    Service Level Agreements: • Is familiar with the current Service Level Agreements (SLA) for a particular work area and can participate in the vendor selection process for client in accordance with IT standards and specifications. • Propose and develop Service Level Agreements (SLA) in partnership with customer and support provider as needed.

    Problem Solving: • Identify and resolve issues, escalate as needed. • Use new and varied analytical techniques.

    Customer Satisfaction: • Monitor and analyze metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.

    Communication/Consulting:

    • Promote an understanding of IT roles, processes and activities to the business units. • Support and participate in the formal reporting of project status. • Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from the initial requirements phase to final implementation phase of projects. • Actively participate in the creation, review and analysis of user stories/epics in projects utilizing agile development methodology.

    Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed

     

     

     

     

    04 YOU BRING THESE SKILLS: 

    • A strong ability to think critically and solve complex problems
      • Including systematic thinking that demonstrates a comprehensive awareness of the impact and implications of decisions and actions on other units within the organization
    • Ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and show consistency between words and actions
    • Strong documentation skills including documenting processes, data models, discussions, decisions, timelines, etc
    • Project management skills including ability to manage project backlog in an Agile project environment
    • Basic knowledge of developing and making configurations in a low-code environment

     

    05 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    06 ADDITIONAL SKILLS WE ARE INTERESTED IN:

    Experience with Salesforce platform and/or other low-code systems is a plus and preferred, but not required.

    CBAP, PMP, or other certifications are a plus.
