    World Vision is looking for a FUNDRAISING PROGRAM MANAGER FOR CHILD AMBASSADORS

    01 THE JOB As the FUNDRAISING PROGRAM MANAGER FOR CHILD AMBASSADORS, you will coach and meet regularly with the current Child Ambassador leadership team and manage and lead World Vision’s longest standing peer to peer fundraising program. You will:

     

    • INCREASE ACTIVE CHILD AMBASSADOR PARTICIPANTS: Grow the impact of the Child Ambassadors program by leading the current volunteer team and recruiting new participants into the vision and mission of this ministry to bring more impact to vulnerable children.
    • INCREASE IMPACT GLOBALLY: Designing, developing, implementing strategies, campaigns and tools/resources to help bring in more child sponsorships and impact year over year.
    • DEVELOP INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE: Create and develop incredible tools, resources and experiences for the current Child Ambassadors team to connect the current volunteer leaders and potential donors/sponsors to the impact in the field.
    • MEET SMART GOALS: Meet and exceed the annual recruitment goal of bringing on 250 new Child Ambassadors and exceed annual fundraising goal of 2,000 new child sponsorships in their first year.
    • MISSION: Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

     

    Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.

    Setting marketing, campaign and impact strategies to develop and grow the Child Ambassador program.

    • Including: testing, design, development, implementation and continuous improvement to recruit new Child Ambassadors whilst aiming to increase year over year acquisitions of new child sponsorships.

    Establish fundraising program strategies with all applicable World Vision Senior Leaders, Ministry Program Leaders, Senior Church Advisors and Area Directors to ensure alignment with overall goals.

    Leading and developing the current Child Ambassadors leadership team and program by listening, providing tools and resources and equipping and inspiring the team through team calls, gatherings, conferences and trips to see World Vision’s impact around the globe.

    Manage the design and execution of the fundraising program, including all phases of ideation, planning, logistics, communication and execution.

    In partnership with senior leadership, develop and manage cost and revenue budgets, forecasts and growth projections while complying with reporting expectations as well as corporate policies and goals.

    Effectively communicate and partner with all appropriate WVUS groups (e.g.: segment, product, promotion, branding, and operational service teams) to ensure successful program roll out and increase overall impact

    Report to Senior Manager of Fundraising Programs and support them in the development and execution of ongoing strategies for peer to peer sponsorship growth. Candidate has prowess in problem-solving, strategic and creative thinking, plus taking initiative with consistent and strong follow-through.

    Ability to communicate effectively through excellent written or oral mediums and comfortable with presenting online or on-stage in front of large audiences to influence groups to join or act.

    Develop and maintain positive relationships with diverse individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and possess ability to work collaboratively with a team when assigned.

    Ability to work independently and maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities while seeking clarity when needed.

    Providing spiritual leadership on the team (internal and with Child Ambassadors), calling us all into a life changing commitment to serve the poor in the name of Jesus.

     

      

    02 YOU BRING

      

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (8 years) required.
    • In addition to education or education equivalent, REQUIRES 3 YEARS OR MORE OF WORK EXPERIENCE IN PEER TO PEER FUNDRAISING, PARTNERSHIP MANAGEMENT, MARKETING, MINISTRY AND/OR SALES.
    • Advanced degree is highly desirable.   
    • Previous experience working with NGO’s, Nonprofits, Christian denominations or churches preferred but not required.
    • Has strong attention to detail.
    • EXPERIENCE WITH WRITING CONTENT, COPY AND THE ABILITY TO CREATE STORIES (EITHER FROM ACTIVE CA’S OR FROM THE SPONSORED CHILDREN) TO INSPIRE FUNDRAISING, IS HIGHLY DESIRED.  
    • Demonstrated experience implementing moves management techniques to effectively manage high level accounts or complex partnerships, preferred.
    • Established relationships and networks with churches and pastors within geographic area, strongly preferred.
    • Able to interact with people of various levels within the organization.
    • Can work independently and in a collaborative work environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be able to do up to 20% travel (when company policy allows).

    • Possess ability to lead core volunteer members and create unity or “oneness.”
    • Be driven to make a difference, goal-oriented and can meet deadlines.
    • Be fluent in managing multiple projects with professionalism.
    • Lead the strategic efforts internally with other departments to prioritize the creative, digital and other marketing strategies that will lead to the best outcomes for the program.
    • Lead a small team internally to best manage the vision and mission - meeting or exceeding annual fundraising goals: 2,000 new children sponsored & 250 new Child Ambassadors annually.
    • Understanding of World Vision's child sponsorship model of development preferred.
