World Vision is hiring a SENIOR TECHNICAL ADVISOR to advise on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health issues.

Location: Washington, D.C. USA
Reports to: Senior Director of Health Sector, Resource Development
Required experience: Master's degree required. Doctoral level and clinical skills a plus. Minimum of 6 years of international programming work experience. Deep technical and clinical knowledge in Maternal and Child Health sector.
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the USA for any employer.
Travel: Up to 40% of time both in development and fragile contexts.
02 THE JOB: World Vision is looking for a SENIOR TECHNICAL ADVISOR to support our rapid growth in the health international development space. This position will support the US-based Business Development and World Vision National Offices overseas, to identify new opportunities among public, private and non-profit sources of funding. The Senior Technical Advisor will play a key role in supporting programming implementation in the field. Help World Vision carry out our Christian organization's mission and strategy. Candidates must be in agreement with and help to enhance World Vision’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The candidate will personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.
RESOURCE MOBILIZATION, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND CAPACITY STRENGTHENING – 70%
TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP, PROGRAM LEARNING AND DOCUMENTATION– 30%
03 YOU’LL BRING THESE SKILLS:
04 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master's degree required. International programming work experience, related professional experience, or research institution experience required; 6 years. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Must be able to establish strong relationships cross culturally. Proven work experience securing and/or managing significant funding from institutional donors. Deep technical knowledge in Maternal and Child Health sector is required.
