    ROLE: Senior Financial Analyst

    LEVEL: Senior (5-8+ years minimum experience). IC role (no direct reports).

    JOB DESIGN: 40% decision support & business insight. 40% planning, budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation. 20% financial management and performance reporting. 

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience. Additionally, 5-8+ years of work experience with planning, budgeting, analysis, forecasting and modeling, with an understanding of accounting; 5-8 years. Advanced technology skills including use of Excel and PowerPoint, and with Corporate Performance Management (CPM) systems. 

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: MBA. Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, including the Microsoft BI stack.

    LOCATION: Prefer Seattle (Federal Way, WA) base. Remote possible w/preference for Pacific NW base for ease of travel to the HQ office as needed post-pandemic.

    You’ll be joining our highly talented and diverse team of fellow believers that will support you personally and professionally every step of the way. Additionally, the high visibility and importance of this work will mean you’ll have regular interactions with multiple cross-functional leaders who will help to make you successful. Report to the Director of Corporate Planning Analysis and Reporting and serve within an 8-person team of financial analysts team that sits within our Strategic Solutions business unit which includes adjacent teams that focus on related functions like audit, risk management, legal, grant solutions, and accounting. 

    Additional responsibilities include: 

    • Serve as primary finance contact for the planning and budget process in relation to assigned business units. Partner with multiple cross-functional leaders to develop annual budgets, monthly forecasts and strategies that align with organizational priorities. Evaluate department action plans, forecasts, and cost/benefit justifications to verify consistency and alignment with organizational strategies.
    • Support strategic and operational decisions through data gathering, consolidation and complex analysis. Recommend and help implement decision criteria and financial standards to optimize short-term and long-term investment for growth, net yield, and quality.
    • Analyze income performance and operational costs activity monthly, explaining variances and alerting management to changes in trends and probable impact to the organization. Identify opportunities for financial business practice improvements and make recommendations to management.
    • Develop and/or maintain modeling, forecasting, and other analytical tools to improve planning and decision-making approaches across the organization.
    • Benchmark and analyze industry trends and measures. Conduct feasibility studies of potential innovations and operational improvements. Review, analyze or develop business cases for new investments.
    • Produce regular, recurring written and verbal reports, ensuring accuracy, validity, and clean presentation. Provide insight into past performance and future trends and distill learnings and KPI’s into actionable information.
