    Role: Philanthropy Specialist, Southwest Region

    Required experience: ​Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years). In addition to education or education equivalent, requires 2-3 years of work experience in sales/fundraising support working directly with sales/fundraising representatives and utilizing various sales reporting tools (i.e., CRM) or related customer service support function.​ Intermediate to advance experience with MS Office suite and CRM systems. Ability to meet all deadlines in a timely manner. Strong customer service skills.

    Preferred: Experience with Adobe Pro Software and SharePoint system. Knowledge of Concur Expense System and self-booking travel systems, highly desired. Event planning and experience with virtual meeting platforms is a plus.

    Salary: Typical hiring range expected to be $25 to $28 per hour

    Location: Remote on the west coast - Bay Area preferred

    Travel: Expected domestic travel is 3-4 times a year, 3-5 days each trip

    01 The Job **** As the Philanthropy Specialist for the Southwest Region you will **** partner with fundraisers within the Philanthropy Team, consult on and support all phases of the Moves Management fundraising process and the Donor Journey from acquisition, cultivation, invitation to donor service. Coordinate multiple tasks of high priority while delivering exceptional customer service and good business decision making. Oversee confidential donor information. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

    Key responsibilities are:

    • Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.

    • Fundraising Support:

      • Assist in the preparation of tactical strategic plans for each donor. Document and track stages of gift cultivation, multi-year asks, and campaign sector activities, ensuring CRM systems are properly updated. Monitor progress toward fund-raising goals, providing reports and analysis to inform fundraisers and leadership.
      • Monitor gift processing and track progress toward gift intention fulfillment via reporting and analysis. Conduct ongoing donor research to identify giving patterns and trends. Summarize and report findings for Philanthropy Fundraisers.
      • Liaise with Prospect Development and Middle Donor Teams to manage acquisition of new prospect leads, transfer of disqualified major donors, ongoing research requests, and portfolio list stewardship.
      • Liaise with various departments and individuals in the cultivation, invitation and donor service phases of Moves Management to manage requests and deliverables for resources, reporting, marketing collateral, and other information needed to strengthen and deepen donor engagement. (International Programs Group, Marketing, Sr Leadership, Vision Trips and Events).
      • Promote positive working relationships and influence others for timely and optimal donor business solutions.
      • Assist fundraisers with the strategic plan and distribution of project reporting and other donor service deliverables to donor investors.
      • Interface directly with major donors as first point of contact, including face to face presence and facilitation of events.
      • Provide Vision Trip, Event, and donor meeting support, including serving as liaison between travelers and internal departments, serving as liaison with donor hosts, and including both onsite and virtual facilitation. Assist with preparation and planning, including budget planning.
      • Understand key performance metrics for fundraisers and assist with tracking, reporting and analysis.
      • Function as a subject matter expert in all related systems, such as CRM, EDW, Concur.
    • Department Support:

      • May monitor team budget to include preparation for fiscal year planning, tracking expenses and financial transactions throughout the year.
      • Provide expense report support as a subject matter expert for complex scenarios, regular monthly reports, and all international travel related to Vision Trips.
      • Provide customer service to internal and external business partners and donors.
      • Coordinate meetings, maintain calendars, coordinate conferences, and assist with complex travel arrangements for Philanthropy staff.
      • Facilitate the reconciliation of account stewardship, sponsorship, and other donor relationship issues.
      • Help maintain and manage the distribution of marketing related resources for the team.
      • May maintain maintenance and service agreements for all office equipment, building, security, cleaning and grounds services. May be the purchaser of shared supplies in the office environment.
    • Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

    02 Required experience

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years). In addition to education or education equivalent, requires 2-3 years of work experience in sales/fundraising support working directly with sales/fundraising representatives and utilizing various sales reporting tools (i.e., CRM) or related customer service support function.​
    • Experience organizing and tracking project deliverables over a period of time.
    • Knowledge in all MS Office suite and CRM system - intermediate to advance. Experience with MS Dynamic is a plus.
    • Enjoys interacting with donors.
    • The ability to coordinate projects.
    • Has strong organizational skills.
    • Excellent communicator - verbal and written.
    • Ability to pull reports and provide business analysis from the data.

    04 Salary Range & Benefits The full range for this position is $24.35 - $36.07 per hour. This applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. Typical hiring range is $25 - $28 per hour. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity.
