    ROLE: Business Operations Manager

    LOCATION: Remote work within the U.S. with preference near Nashville, TN

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field or equivalent (eight years) work experience. In addition to education or educational equivalent, requires work experience requiring leadership, communication, negotiation, and administration skills; 5-8 years. Discretion and confidentiality required.

    SALARY RANGE: $67,335.65 - $104,878.28. Applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. Typical hiring range is $70,000 - $85,000. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity.     01 THE JOB 

    As Business Operations Manager, you will provide management support in the areas of finance administration, operations and strategy development ensuring effective communication, working relationships and successful implementation of goals and objectives within the context of World Vision. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies.     • Keep Christ central in our individual and corporate lives. Attend and participate in the leadership of devotions, weekly Chapel services, and regular prayer.
    • Manage the day-to-day operational functions for the Artists Team in collaboration and compliance with WVUS policies.
    • Serve as liaison among WVUS groups and their staff and the larger World Vision partnership as appropriate.
    • Lead and coordinate assigned projects and coordinate team efforts and collaborate with other departments and/or divisions for various initiatives.
    • Provide financial management direction for area of responsibility and ensure that financial decisions, policies and procedures meet corporate objectives and needs, and comply with regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure that processes and systems are in place to provide timely financial information and that processes and systems have appropriate internal controls, and security features and safeguards company assets.
    • Produce management reports based on scorecard metrics ensuring report data is current and accurate.
    • Analyze and validate research and demographic data, provide projections, cost/benefit analysis, and other quantitative/qualitative analysis as needed to leadership; monitor performance against annual budget, plans and systems to achieve annual goals.
    • May hire, fire, train, counsel, evaluate, and recommend salary increases and promotions for those under direct supervision.
    • Design, schedule, organize and evaluate team group orientation, team-building, and capacity building workshops in cooperation with WVUS Human Resources.
    • Work collaboratively with team members when asked to work as part of a team.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the WVUS Intranet and other corporate communication tools.

     

     

    02 WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE 

    As the Business Operations Manager for the Artists team you will play a pivotal role in the leadership team for the division, including responsibility for: tracking expense and revenue forecasting financials on a monthly basis; collaborating with the sales team, leadership, and financial partners on recommendations to pivot or persist on business measures; provide support for contracts with vendors and Artist & Musician tour reps; support the leadership team in staff engagement and development planning; and more.  In your first 90 days, we’ll ask you to: cross-train with the current Business Operations Manager who is readying for retirement, develop and share a strategic recommendation for expense/revenue monthly tracking and reporting, and contribute to the team’s staff engagement plan.

     

    Successful candidates will have a background in business operations or senior administrative skills, have a deep love for excel spreadsheets, and enjoy contributing to the leadership of a fast-paced and dynamic team.
