    World Vision is hiring a Senior Procurement Specialist within the Vendor Contract Services Team.

    Role: Senior Procurement Specialist, Vendor Contract Services

    Location: Hybrid from Federal Way, WA. Onboarding will require being on-site a minimum of 1x/week, otherwise on-site every 2nd Wednesday of the month.

    **Required Experience: **Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years). In addition to education or education equivalent, requires a minimum of 5-8 years’ work experience in procurement or related field demonstrating ability to negotiate and manage projects/processes. Broad understanding in one or more of the following areas: facility management, information technology, finance and administration, fundraising, and/or marketing. Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel required.

    Salary Range: $69,355 - $108,000/annually. Applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. Typical hiring range is $70,000 - $85,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity.     02 ****The Job In this role as the Senior Procurement Specialist, you will provide vendor consulting services to internal WVUS customers as well as the broader World Vision Partnership level, for complex purchasing and contract negotiation needs valued up to $5,000,000. You will consult and advise business owners on procurement administration, contract management strategy, organizational policies and procedures, in order for the business owner to make a well informed, value-oriented decision. The Senior Procurement Specialist will collaborate with WVUS subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure the organization's goals and objectives are met and risk is mitigated. Additionally, you will help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies, while personifying the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
    • Serve as lead Vendor Contract Services representative to one or more WVUS division(s) utilizing understanding of business needs and procurement best practices, regulatory issues, and WVUS policy requirements to partner with business owners and determine how best to meet their procurement/vendor needs.
    • Provide vendor sourcing, selection, evaluation, and contract negotiation services to business owners.
    • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, other subject matter experts, and key stakeholders in vetting contracts, while meeting business owner expectations, and protecting WVUS interests. Communicate to business unit WVUS purchasing policies and procedures and purchasing best practices.
    • Delegate contract administration duties to Vendor Services Administrators within departmental guidelines.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

    • Contract Terms & Management: Demonstrates advanced knowledge of aspects of contract management, including contract negotiation, schedule and contract requirements, and supplier evaluation. Able to effectively add/delete/modify commercial terms and conditions as appropriate in drafting contracts.
    • Analytical/Research Skills: Defines parameters of task and desired objective; gathers and synthesizes relevant data; applies reasoning to determine relationships of variables and develop recommendations. Tests assumptions, observes results.
    • Cost Analysis Knowledge: Understanding of the fixed and variable cost components of products and methods to gather, calculate and analyze cost information.
    • Teamwork: Promotes and generates cooperation and teamwork among internal and external contacts while working to achieve collective outcomes. Ensures consistent, ongoing communication with others.
    • Oral and Written Communication: Effectively expresses ideas, thoughts and concepts verbally and in writing, using correct grammar, organization and structure, and effective presentation media and techniques. Use appropriate media and approach.
    • Facilitation Skills: Effectively and purposefully guides group meetings and managers group dynamics to foster team building and achieve meeting objectives
    • Negotiation Skills: Explores alternatives to reach optimal outcomes that gain acceptance of all parties when parties have divergent goals. Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to gain acceptance of an idea.

    05 Salary Range & Benefits **** Your compensation and benefits are important to you so they’re important to us. The full range for this position is $69,355 - $108,000/year.
