    **01 At a Glance **

    **Role : **Senior Internal Auditor, Audit and Risk Management

    **Location : **Remote possible within the United States from 35+ states. Hybrid from Federal Way, WA preferred, with on-site work every 2nd Wednesday of the month.

    Reports to: Director, Audit and Risk Management

    Salary Range : $73,000 - $115,000/annually. Applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. Typical hiring range is $84,000 - $95,000/annually. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity.     Travel: Less than 5% of travel is expected for this role.

    02 The Job:

    In this role, the Senior Internal Auditor will conduct and lead moderate to highly complex financial and operational audits for World Vision US. S/he will drive efficiency by providing independent and objective assurance and consulting activities resulting in recommendations, process improvements, stronger internal controls and business objective assessments. This individual will help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies, and personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

    Essential functions of the role include:

    1. Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
    2. Plan and execute successful audits by assessing key risk factors and control activities.
    3. Draft audit reports by identifying and gathering supporting documentation for audit issues and provide cost-benefit/value added recommendations.
    4. Clearly communicate audit issues to management.
    5. Establish and maintain strong relationship with managers and staff as well as WVI Partnership audit functions.
    6. Remain current and increase knowledge in related areas utilizing self-study and or continuing education efforts as required by certifications.
    7. Participate in task forces and committees and work collaboratively with other team members.
    8. Assist in the development and mentoring of audit interns.
    9. Perform other duties as assigned.
    10. Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed

    03 Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, and/or finance or equivalent work experience (eight years). In addition to education or education equivalent, 5 years work experience in public accounting and/or internal audit required. Work experience in government accounting 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance (Cost Principles and Single Audit) requirements, and experience with international NGOs strongly preferred. Experience with audit and/or data analysis tools such as IDEA or ACL strongly preferred. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) Requires professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and/or Certificate in Control Self Assessment (CCSA).

    • Analytical/Research Skills : Defines parameters of task and desired objective; gathers and synthesizes relevant data; applies reasoning to determine relationships of variables and develop recommendations. Tests assumptions, observes results.
    • Coaching: Works to improve and reinforce performance of teammates. Facilitates their skill development by providing clear, behaviorally specific feedback, and by making suggestions for improvement in a manner that builds confidence.
    • Facilitation Skills: Effectively and purposely guides group meetings and group dynamics to foster team building and achieve meeting objectives.

    05 Salary Range & Benefits **** Your compensation and benefits are important to you so they’re important to us. The full range for this position is $75,000 - $115,000/year. This applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. Typical hiring range is $84,000 - $95,000/year.
