    ROLE: Data Analyst

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor's degree, preferably in math, science, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience (eight years). 5 years of experience producing, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive business strategies. Experience in SQL required (advance knowledge preferred). Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, required.

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience with statistical software, such as SPSS, SAS, or R, preferred. Knowledge of sales and/or fundraising with familiarity of moves management concepts, strongly preferred. Familiarity with CRM tools related to storing, manipulating, and retrieving data, highly desired.

    SALARY RANGE: $73,500.90 – $115,934.42. Applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. TYPICAL HIRING RANGE IS $80,000 – 94,000. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity.     01 THE ROLE Our DATA ANALYST for the Prospect Development team, will identify donor prospects through data analytics to ensure the optimization of giving. Provide reliable and timely quantitative data and trend analysis in support of World Vision's ministry. Apply data analytics to facilitate the movement of donors through donor portfolios. Help carry out our Christian organization's mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL ALSO INCLUDE: 

    • Keep Christ central in our individual and corporate lives.  Attend and participate in the leadership of devotions, weekly Chapel services, and regular prayer.
    • Promote and support data driven decision making in Transformational Engagement. Partner with colleagues in prospect development and stewardship to establish and refine prospect identification systems and strategies.
    • Provide consulting assistance to client teams. Understand their business. Make recommendations related to analysis that will assist in achieving long-term corporate goals. Communicate key findings and conclusions in meaningful ways and to appropriate audience level.
    • Support the prospecting process through analytics. Work with leadership to evaluate effectiveness of systems and processes.
    • Generate and analyze broad data sets, search for explanations and underlying causes, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations related to proactively driving prospect through the development cycle.
    • Develop predictive models and provide recommendations to unit managers and representatives for how to interpret, understand, and apply scoring to ensure all fundraising teams are as effective as possible.
    • Partner with analytics peers within Mobilization on organization-wide data analysis projects; coordinate to minimize duplication of efforts.
    • Partner with colleagues in prospect research to manage the assignment of newly qualified prospects via the auto-move and lead generation processes.
    • Perform other duties as required.
    • Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as part of a team.
    • Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the WVUS Intranet and other corporate communication tools.

    02 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in math, science, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience (eight years).
    • 5 years of experience producing, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive business strategies.
    • Experience in SQL required.
    • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, required.
    • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.  
    • Familiarity with MS SharePoint. 
    • Knowledge of sales and/or fundraising with familiarity of movement management concepts, strongly preferred. 
    • Familiarity with CRM tools related to storing, manipulating, and retrieving data is, highly desired. 
    • Experience with statistical software, such as SPSS, SAS, or R, preferred.

    03 SALARY RANGE & BENEFITS Your salary is important to you so it’s important to us. The full range for this position is $73,500.90 – $115,934.42. This applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. TYPICAL HIRING RANGE IS $80,000 - $94,000. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity.
