    Job Description

    AIDE QUALIFICATION

    An Aide monitors and assists the teachers with the preschool-age children under the instructions and supervision of the Director, and Lead Teachers.

    COMPENSATION: Starts at $15 per hour increases based on education and experience

    EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Part-Time

    HOURS FOR EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Hours vary based on need. 1st shift (7:00 AM - 1:00 PM) 2nd Shift(10:00 AM- 4:00PM)

    3rd Shift (12:00 PM - 6:00 PM)

    HOURS OF OPERATIONS: 6:45 AM through 6:00 PM

     

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL ASSIST THE LEAD TEACHERS WITH LESSON PLANS AND SUPERVISION OF CENTER-BASED ACTIVITIES, AND MAINTENANCE OF A SAFE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR THE CHILDREN.

     

    JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    ·        Provide a safe and loving environment for the children in his/her care.

    ·      Assist with snack and lunch preparation

    ·        Assist with circle time and reading throughout the day

    ·        Supervise children during outdoor and indoor play.

    ·       Set-up sleeping mats during nap time in rooms and put away bedding for children

    ·        Cleaning is required to ensure COVID-19 regulations and areas are kept clean and sanitized.

    ·        Monitor children and ensure care and safety.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    ·        Minimum 6 completed units of early childhood education.

    ·        Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

    ·        High School Diploma or GED certificate.

    ·        Must be CPR and First-Aid Certified.

    • Ability to pass a background check.
    • A caring individual who enjoys teaching young children.
    • Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
    • Extended periods of time sitting or standing.
    • Reliable transportation to the Childcare center.
    • Great customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents.
    • Sufficient mobility and strength to repeatedly sit, stand, carry infant/toddlers, balance, stoop, walk, bend, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, and have a full range of body motion.
    • Ability to work with cleaning/sanitizing chemicals and equipment.
    • Ability to maintain confidential information.
