    General Manager is responsible for "Making Pleasurable Dining Affordable" for our guests by ensuring Golden Corral operational standards are communicated, trained and maintained in the restaurant. In this leadership role, you ensure optimal restaurant financial results, outstanding guest service and food quality, while providing the restaurant management and Co-worker team with opportunities for everyone to be successful.

    Requirements:

    Strong, stable work history along with management experience in a high-volume, casual dining or family-style restaurant.

    Coaches, trains, and monitors Kitchen Managers, Hospitality Manager and Assistant Managers to follow Golden Corral operating standards while achieving key financial results of their restaurant, including positive comparable restaurant sales growth, profit increases and positive comparable restaurant guest count increases, while maintaining standard food, labor, and controllable costs to maximize profits and achieve the restaurant’s budget.

    Provides leadership and guidance to Kitchen Managers, Hospitality Manager and Certified Assistant Managers through training, coaching, counseling, timely performance appraisals, and restaurant and management development action plans through weekly management meetings.

    Performs follow-up action plans with Hospitality Manager and Kitchen Manager on all Health Department, inspections for necessary action items to ensure compliance with Golden Corral operating standards.

    Provides input and assists the District Manager in the development of the restaurant's budget.

    Ensures the priorities are maintained to comply with facilities management standards and regular preventive equipment maintenance is performed in the restaurant as well as outside of the restaurant including signs, parking lot and landscaping to meet standards for good physical condition for the appeal and comfort of the guests

    Successful completion Golden Corral's comprehensive management training program.

    Education and/or experience normally associated with completion of a degree program in business or hospitality.

    Three to five years’ experience in managing a restaurant with diversified menu offerings.

    Hours of work for this position are approximately 50-65 hours per week.

    Some travel may be required including operating a motor vehicle as required.

    Kitchen Manager is responsible using Golden Corral products, recipes, procedures and company systems to ensure that the standards for quality food, recipes, and cleanliness are achieved for our guests. As a member of the restaurant operations management team, the Kitchen Manager is also responsible for the restaurant’s overall operations, including food quality, production, safety, and labor in absence of the General Manager and Guest Services Associate Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    Manage budgets and sales goals, production and inventory food requirements, menu forecasts, and quality standards.

    Complete daily reports, menu analysis, cost analysis, and ordering supplies for the point of sales system.

    Achieves period and annual budgeted food, labor and controllable costs in all areas of production operations through planning, scheduling and executing the Golden Corral operating standards.

    Responsible for hiring, training, and overall management of subordinates.

    Ensure guest satisfaction/Establish standards for customer service

    Meets all productivity labor standards for the Back-of-the-House and production positions.

    Achieves all company standards for products, recipes, cleanliness and service times in restaurant using Golden Corral systems to achieve CSQ levels at a minimum of 85% are met in the Back-of-the-House and production. Meets all local, state and federal health and sanitation standards. Ensures compliance with all company policies including the Code of Ethics

    Ensures all Co-workers in the Back-of-the-House and production are trained with the Computer Based Training (CBT) program and certified through Fast Tracks and Safe Tracks. Ensures Co-Workers are in proper uniform according to Golden Corral guidelines.

    Qualifications:

    Two to three years’ management experience in operations in a high volume restaurant with diversified menu offerings.

    Education and/or experience normally associated with completion of a degree program in business or hospitality.

    Experience in customer service or sales

    Knowledge of the best practices and procedures for customer service, and/or kitchen management

    Position requires standing and walking for periods of 2-5 hours without a rest break, and task sequencing and the completion of complex administrative responsibilities.

    Hours of work for this position are approximately 50-65 hours per week

    Hands-on experience with MS Office and relevant software

    BA in Kitchen Management or similar relevant field preferred but not required

    Hospitality Manager is responsible for creating a spirit of hospitality in the Front-of-the-House through creating a warm and positive environment while providing a dining experience that ensures our guests become long-term, loyal guests.

    Responsibilities:

    Managing operations primarily in the Front-of-the-House

    Responsible for ensuring customers areas are clean including restrooms. Ensures compliance with all company policies including the Code of Ethics.

    Complete daily reports, menu analysis, cost analysis, and ordering supplies for the point of sales system.

    Responsible for hiring, training, and overall management of subordinates.

    Ensure guest satisfaction/Establish standards for customer service

    Qualifications:

    Two to three years’ management experience in operations in a high volume restaurant with diversified menu offerings

    Education and training typically associated with college coursework in business or hospitality are preferred but not required.

    Previous working experience in the restaurant industry/ management is preferred but not required.

    Successful completion of Golden Corral's comprehensive management training program.

    Hours of work for this position are approximately 50-65 hours per week

    Position requires a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

    Position requires standing and walking for periods of 2-5 hours without a rest break, and task sequencing and the completion of complex administrative responsibilities.
