    Job Description

    Wauseon Machine and Manufacturing, a leader in precision machining and custom automation, is looking for a high impact sales leader to join our growing company as a Sales Manager for our precision machining division.

    Wauseon Machine & Manufacturing is a diversified, growing, and successful company with a 35 year track record of success and profitability. The company desires to expand its presence in new markets that require robotics and custom automation solutions. We are looking for an ambitious and experienced sales professional who has a track record of developing and growing new customers while successfully maintaining existing accounts.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for the management of assigned sales staff by continuing to develop their sales skills and accounts by supporting them in their daily activities.
    • Actively encourages sales personnel daily to maintain high morale.
    • Lead weekly sales meetings, and oversee customer visits to include limited travel with the Account Managers when necessary.
    • Support in new business development, trade shows and marketing.
    • Understand each customer's sales needs to provide real, effective solutions.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
    • Background in management or leadership roles with progressive responsibility.
    • Strong business acumen and highly skilled at developing new accounts, growing existing accounts, developing winning strategies, and fostering customer relationships.
    • Strong presence with exceptional communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation.

    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stress management skills that allow the successful candidate to contribute and lead in a team environment to achieve team objectives that support the overall company goals.
    • Excel at developing clear sales growth strategies to meet opportunity pipeline and sales targets.
    • Excel at developing win plans and capture strategies for targeted opportunities while holding self and team accountable to achieve.
    • Excellent time management skills, meaning prioritize tasks appropriately and execute them in the time allotted.
    • Ability to work hard and focus on producing results while working collaboratively with colleagues and at times independently based on the work requirements.
    • Manage communications, messages, organization of data, and documenting of interpersonal interactions with colleagues, vendors, and customers; so clarity of facts is easily maintained and quickly recalled.
    • Able to participate effectively in meetings that utilize people’s time efficiently.
    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
