Job Description

As the first line of communication for a customer, your goal will be to provide outstanding customer service to our clients by developing effective customer service procedures and setting customer satisfaction goals. To qualify for the role, the ideal candidate will have proven experience working in a customer service position, with excellent knowledge of the latest industry trends and techniques. In addition to being an excellent communicator (written and verbally), you will also demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Handling Problems and Claims

· Customer inquiries often involve some form of complaint that the customer service representative must handle in accordance with the company’s guidelines and policies.

· Representatives may attempt to solve the problems or at least propose some solutions.

· Representatives may also be authorized to send customers their replacement products or reverse erroneous fees. All claims will be reviewed with the Customer Service Manager

· Representative may function like a gatekeeper. Getting information on the problem and passing it along to someone else to solve. Customer service representatives must first make sure that the complaints made are valid and must do whatever they can--within the bounds of their authority--to make sure the customer is satisfied when they hang up the phone.

Assisting in Sales and Order Entry

· Responsible for all order entry in your territory, from several marketing methods.

· Selling the company’s products and services may be part of a customer service representatives’ job, even though they may not be part of the sales division.

· Representatives may provide product or service information to assist customers in deciding about a product to buy.

· Customer service representatives may also help generate sales leads. Representatives may attempt to sell an alternative item or substitute based on availability.

Clerical Tasks

· The job of a customer service representative may also involve clerical responsibilities.

· Such duties may involve answering telephone calls and making the appropriate transfers.

· Other duties include processing new client accounts, maintaining customer accounts, implementing changes to existing accounts, and filing documents and other paperwork.

· Customer Service Representative will need top organizational practices, time management, written and verbal communication skills, well versed in Microsoft Office
