Design Group is recruiting for a PACKAGING AND COLOR SPECIALIST in our MEMPHIS, TN location. WHAT WILL I DO IN THIS ROLE? We are seeking a PACKAGING AND COLOR SPECIALIST to assist with the completion and release of production files. This person will assist the Studio Production team in assembling final deliverables for packaging print production. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with knowledge of the manufacturing print process coupled with a keen interest in graphic design, typography, and/or color theory. This person will print proofs for production and mock-up and will review pre-press print proofs for color matching. The PACKAGING AND COLOR SPECIALIST will work with outside vendors for additional maintenance, troubleshooting, and color calibration. A successful hire will keep current with all-print related technology and relevant software. WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED? Someone with strong technical skills will excel in this position. Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent working experience in addition to 3–5 years working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Candidates should have color matching experience and experience working with Fiery Command Workstation software. In order to thrive in this role, candidates should come in with an understanding of color management, ICC profiling, and print standards such as SWOP, GRACoL and G7. WHAT DOES DESIGN GROUP OFFER ME?
