    We are a growing manufacturing organization with a focus on quality and constant improvement seeking an EHS Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing all safety functions for a factory-based workforce. Providing ongoing support to senior management regarding employee safety issues, legally compliant regulations, and safety-related training.

    This is an evolving position and responsibilities may shift over time

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Oversee, manage and enforce all company policies and procedures as they relate to safety
    • Complete and manage all incident investigation reports
    • Administer 1st aid to employees as needed
    • Training of new and current employees on all safety-related aspects of their jobs
    • Manage all worker’s compensation claims from beginning to end
    • Ensure legal compliance and consistency in all fields related to safety
    • Conduct research and keep up to date with best safety practices
    • Other duties may be assigned as required

     

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • High school diploma required
    • Bachelor’s degree in safety-related field preferred
    • 10 + years of professional-level experience working in a safety position or the equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
    • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, multi-level, project-based environment with an emphasis on timelines and delivery of an asset
    • Understanding of manufacturing processes in a factory environment is an asset
    • Comprehensive knowledge of safety, legal requirements, and best practices
    • Commitment to quality, including attention to detail required
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality, use discretion, and uphold high ethical standards required
    • Ability to work independently required
    • Ability to adhere to all company policies and safety procedures as required
    • Motivated, goal-driven, with a dedication to constant improvement
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English; including both verbal and written required
    • Fluency in Spanish is an asset
    • Proficiency on all standard office equipment is required
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 2016 and Windows 7+ is required

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
