    BACKGROUND: TCC is looking for qualified part-time instructors to teach Welding Technology.  Individuals applying for this position must have at least five (5) years of practical work experience and background in Welding. 

     

    DUTIES:  General responsibilities include: classroom/online instruction/testing and hands-on lab instruction - group and one-on-one, following and completing course objectives/competencies, assessing students, retaining students, classroom management, completing required paperwork (e.g., maintaining class rosters, attendance, competency tracking forms, etc.), care of equipment and material, and ability to comply with all TCC policies and procedures. Persons applying for this position must be dependable, highly responsible, independent, self-starting, and have the ability to interact with a diverse student population. 

     

    MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:  Must have at least a recognized high school diploma or GED.  Must have experience at a journey level or technician level with at least 5 years of expertise in trade or a minimum of three years of experience as a certified teacher in a Welding vocational/technical training program.  All applicants will be required to submit to a criminal background check.

     

    PREFERENCES: Preference provided to applicants with prior teaching experience in the area listed above.
