    The Supervisor of ArcDeli coordinates ArcDeli and its catering functions. The Supervisor provides supervision and training for staff and assumes responsibility for daily operations, including inventory and opening/closing procedures.

    Required Skills

     

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    • BASIC COMPUTER LITERACY as evidenced by the ability to go online and conduct basic searches on the Internet, check his/her email account, create and send e-mail with an attachment and use simple email features. Can open spreadsheets and word processing documents to read and make simple edits.

     

    OTHER SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

    • Strong math skills to accurately maintain records
    • Demonstrated customer service skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to stay calm and level-headed under pressure and still perform well
    • Must demonstrate good judgment, sensitivity, objectivity and tact
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Required Experience

     

    MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    Associates degree in Culinary Arts, Business or related field, plus three years’ experience in institutional cooking, inventory and catering. Two years’ experience supervising a team and appraising performance of at least FOUR full-time staff required. May consider an equivalent combination of education and experience if applicable.

     

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

    • NYS Driver’s license. Must have access to timely and reliable transportation to transport self and individuals for deliveries and other operational needs as necessary.
    • Must maintain current required certifications as designated by the agency
