Presently we are seeking to attract dedicated, loyal and experienced leading hand to join the bulk earthworks team for an iconic Perth Main Roads projects.

To be successful in this position you must have the following;

• Valid HR licence
• Valid plant operation tickets - excavator, loader, roller etc (at least some)
• White Card
• excellent people skills and ability to manage a crew
• Demonstrated experience in leading hand role in bulk earthworks
• Main Roads spec experience highly desirable
• Experience in operating machines in a civil construction and bulk earthworks environment
• Ability to plan works
• Excellent safety record and attitude towards safety (essential)

Required Skills:

• Ability to effectively work in a team environment; and, perform work and resolve problems with limited supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; and, strong organizational skills with specific emphasis on attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Adobe Frame Maker, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and Microsoft Office applications or other Desktop Publishing Programs
• Working knowledge of materials, components, assemblies, computer, and peripheral hardware designs – parts and associated drawings.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, e.g., Windchill or equivalent.
• Ability to travel to remote sites, e.g., Pillar Point Air Force Station, and Pt. Mugu.
• The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance with includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with S1000D authoring and publishing.
