    DUTIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Provide support to maintain operation of CIP systems and housekeeping functions
    • Provide support for product and environmental pathogen prevention monitoring.  
    • Analyze plant chemical requirements
    • Provide support to the plants on food safety initiatives
    • Provide direction and support direct reports
    • Troubleshoot sanitation and quality issues. Identify and implement necessary and appropriate corrective measures.
    • Trouble-shoot and lead problem-solving efforts through the facilitation of team meetings and on-the-floor leadership to effectively change systems and procedures through the process of continuous improvement.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with chemical suppliers in order to maintain optimum external support of the facilities.
    • Work with EH&S Manager to provide awareness and training on new chemicals, processes and handling procedures as required
    • Work cross-functionally with all Operations departments to plan, develop, and maintain Cacique’s environmental health program of basic health sanitation and food safety.
    • Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

    • Knowledge of the principles and practices of public and environmental health.
    • Knowledge of Federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines pertaining to food safety and environmental health.

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience.
    • Minimum of five (5) years management experience in food manufacturing or processing, preferably dairy manufacturing with emphasis on sanitation.
