Wound Care & Vaccination Nurse (RN or LVN)

BrightStar Care is looking for a compassionate and experienced Wound Care & Vaccination Nurse to join our team serving patients throughout the Athens, Mabank, and Terrell areas.

This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys providing hands-on patient care, building relationships with patients and families, and having the flexibility of PRN/part-time scheduling.

What You'll Do

As a Wound Care & Vaccination Nurse, you will provide skilled nursing services directly in the patient's home, including:

Perform wound assessments and provide individualized wound care

Administer vaccinations according to physician orders and Texas guidelines

Monitor patients and identify changes in condition

Document patient care, progress, and response to treatment

Educate patients and caregivers on wound care and post-vaccination instructions

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Follow infection control and patient safety standards

Communicate with physicians, caregivers, and the BrightStar Care clinical team

What We're Looking For

Active Texas RN or LVN license

1–2 years of clinical nursing experience

Wound care experience preferred

Vaccination/immunization experience preferred

Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills

Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between Athens, Mabank, and Terrell

Current TB test — company paid

Current CPR certification — required and not company paid
