  • Responsibilities

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    This individual will have management oversight and business ownership of the ongoing strategy and implementation of practice development programs at the national level across Penn Mutual’s distribution channels.  Leading a team of practice development consultants with a strong understanding of field operations and dynamics and advanced practice management principles, this individual will lead the design, build and delivery of a value proposition that provides enhanced support to top Financial Professionals, team-based practices and field leadership. 

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Evaluates and develops practice development and business management training materials and workshops
    • Manages and leads team of 3 Practice Development Consultants aligned with Penn Mutual’s distribution channels
    • Drives strategic business planning process related to practice development in partnership with regional and field leadership
    • Drives and enhances team and field leadership expertise through thought leadership and the build & distribution of industry best practices
    • Conducts field classes, workshops and one-on-one training in field offices
    • Works with experienced Financial Professionals and Financial Professional teams, in tandem with their field leaders, on business development strategies to take their businesses to the next level
    • Enhances and executes Financial Professional succession, continuity and practice acquisition programs
    • Partners with distribution leadership and regional support organizations to ensure clear and consistent messaging & communication relative to strategy, goals and expectations
    • Performs various other related activities and special projects as required in meeting department and/or corporate objectives
    • Complies with all company and site policies and procedures
    • Remains current in profession and industry trends
    • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Required Experience

    • 10+ years related experience within the insurance and/or broker-dealer industry
    • Prior sales/field management experience preferred
    • Strong knowledge of adviser practices and field office organizations
    • Experience in delivering practice management solutions
    • Active in industry organizations such as GAMA, AALU, LIMRA, MDRT, NAIFA

      

    EDUCATION/LICENSES/PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS 

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • MBA or equivalent, preferred
    • Professional designations such as LUTCF, CLU, ChFC and CFP a plus
