    Responsible for the planning, organizing,coordinating and evaluating the activities and functions of case management and utilization review.  Serve as a resource to Administration, the Medical Staff, and other Departments.

    Required Skills

    • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. * Minimum two years previous OR experience * Current Texas license as a Registered Nurse* Current in CPR, ACLS and PALS * Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities. * Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees. * Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse.
    • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
    • BSN preferred, 2 years experience in case management preferred
    • Current Texas License as a Registered Nurse
    • Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
    • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred
    • Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
    • Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees
    • Clinically proficient in critical thinking skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient
    • Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
    • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
    • Excellent teaching skills
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation and be receptive to change
